How to make a balsa wood bridge stronger?
So in our class I have to make a balsa wood bridge, I am using a warren truss bridge with Right triangles in the "upside down" triangles. Our teacher is letting us use hot glue, any ideas on how to make the bridge stronger, other than just gluing the joints really really well?
I know often certain glues are not allowed but...
I built a bridge and the glue that we were allowed to use was a type of model glue
You can thin that glue out with paint thinner of fingernail polish or something
when it is thinned out just paint the glue on teh wood....it will soak into the wood and then dry making the wood very strong....my bridge weighed 28 grams and held 750 pounds
