Anyone out there majoring in Radio, Television, and Film?
I am seriously thinking about changing my major, career path, and future. I am currently majoring in biology, and I know that biology doesn't make me happy and that it doesn't interest me, and I don't want to be a dentist for the rest of my life. So i thought about what interest me the most and what i enjoy the most and that was movies.
So if anyone out there who has already been studying to major in RTF, i would really appreciate it if you could just tell me what the classes are like and what they focus on, what they really do. I know colleges can be different from other colleges, but at least i get an idea of what it is like.
Also it would be super cool if you just happen to also be majoring in RTF at the University of Texas at Austin. If not thats ok, i still really would appreciate your input. I go to UT right now, so yeah. Thank you!
I majored in TV (but never found a job)
For the TV portion, you are going to learn the basic of running a TV production, learning all aspects ofthe job (directing, sqitcher, camera, floor director), then, you will be asked to put on a small show.
You will also learn how to write for TV
